In diving the most beautiful moment is when someone appears to have beaten gravity, hanging suspended for a split second at the top of their leap. Gravity always wins the war, but each and every diver, for their own brief moment, wins the battle.
Artist’s Comments: “The textures I’ve used in this print are quite unusual for me. Usually I keep the light and lines on a figure much more blocky and defined. However, the much more fragmented and elusive lighting on this figure emerged as I was developing this print. I left it this way as it makes it feel like the diver is already part of the water itself – like he might simply dissipate into the water itself upon impact – leaving only those solid red speedos behind" Naomi Le Get More about Naomi
