Geelong Premierships - Japanese Style
Sorry, this print is no longer available.
Nine cats; nine lives; nine premierships.
In Japan, these are called "Maneki Neko" - Beckoning Cats. They're considered a symbol of good luck. Traditionally, a raised left paw welcomes customers (that why you see them in a lot of Japanese shops and restaurants), and the right luck or money.
For these guys, we reckon a raised right paw welcomes premierships. No wonder they look so happy.
(All the premiership years are noted on the bottom corner of each scarf).
